Around March of this year I started yoga. {in the privacy of my home} I bought Eionn Finn's Blissology DVDs which are great for starters. There are 6 DVDs and they have 3 different levels and 2 different lengths in all 6 DVDs. They are well worth the investment.
Yoga at home....
I found it much easier to do {correctly}, if you are in front of a mirror. At first, I would get tickled at myself and how ridiculous I looked but then I started to {love} it! After a while, I do think it's wise to see an instructor. Especially, if you are ready to take it to the next level.
Just for fun... {not for kids}
This past week, my trainer Britt DeLoreto (with Shape Fitness Studio) made me go to a legit yoga studio. So with our matts, off we go {Dev, Britt and I} into a room filled with Buddhas, blankets and yoga blocks. After, a lot of laughing due to the area of sweat, our instructor was perspiring {and holding in gas due to compromising positions} we finished a hour and half session. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to do it next week.

Yoga wear....
For those of you who know me, I am totally obsessed with Lululemon Athletica. They are my favorite workout clothes. Every outfit in my two drawers of workout gear is composed of at least one, if not two Lululemon peices. They are comfortable and they have the ability to SUCK you in. So even if your not tight, you will look it, in their gear. Their clothes are a great quality and I love their layer appeal. They have sports bras, tank tops, sweaters, jackets, capris, etc. You name it, they got it.
Here are some of my basics.
No Limits Tank - built in sports bra yet loose fitting and "airy"
Ebb & Flow Crop - comfortable enough to sleep in
Vinyasa Scarf - let's just say it should be named the Transformer
Meditation Pullover - love the finger holes and my favorite sweatshirt
Bliss Bag - my new pocketbook
If you aren't a fan of working out or even sweating, yoga may be just for you! It's a relaxing exercise especially for high energy and high stress people like myself. My mind is clear and I always feel so relaxed when I am finished. Added bonus is being more limber and .....(Shh!! also increases your libido).
